Just like in the movies, Deadpool is using his powers to better mankind. In an effort to raise awareness, and much needed funding, 20th Century Fox and DEADPOOL have announced a new partnership with the fundraising platform Omaze in support of F— Cancer!
The new partnership was announced during tonight’s FX premiere of the original “Deadpool” movie, and the partnership provides fans the chance to receive an exclusive, custom-made pink Deadpool suit. You will be the king/queen of Comic-Con, and it’s going to a great cause. It’s also a cause close to the Merc’s heart, and proceeds will benefit the work of F— Cancer, the nonprofit dedicated to cancer prevention, early detection and providing support to those affected. As for the upcoming “Deadpool 2” movie, that is set to release this May. As we mentioned earlier, “Deadpool 2” won’t have too much competition on opening weekend. The film is set to share the box-office with the ensemble comedy-drama “Book Club” with Jane Fonda, Alicia Silverstone, Mary Steenburgen, Diane Keaton, Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Candice Bergen, Richard Dreyfuss and Craig T. Nelson, and the family-comedy “Show Dogs” with Will Arnett, Natasha Lyonne, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordin Sparks, Gabriel Iglesias, Shaquille O’Neal, and Stanley Tucci. The big competition will be Deadpool’s follow-up week, when the film takes on “Solo: A Star Wars Story“.
Star Wars fans and Marvel fans are one in the same, so it will be interesting to see if the “Deadpool 2” craze hurts Star Wars’ opening weekend. The film is the long-awaited follow up to the hit “Deadpool” released back in 2016. The original film was a runaway success for FOX that year, bringing in over $132M on the film’s opening weekend.
