Prepare for Danger with a new ‘Lost in Space’ Trailer from Netflix
Prepare to get Lost in Space this April
Netflix released a new trailer for “Lost in Space” this week, showing a bit more of the reboot based on the popular series from the 1960s. The last time that Netflix teased a video from the Robinson family was when the video-streaming service announced the premiere date, which is currently set for April 13, 2018.
In this new series, the Robinson family will be part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space. In the first season the crew are unexpectedly pulled off course, and they are forced to crash land on a lost planet. As we mentioned earlier, the series is a top-to-bottom reboot of the original 1965 television show of the same name. Older readers and sci-fi fans may remember the series, which featured Guy Williams, June Lockhart, and Mark Goddard. This new version of “Lost in Space” will star Mina Sundwall, Max Jenkins, Molly Parker, Parker Posey, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Toby Stephens.
This isn’t the first time that a studio hoped to bring back the “Lost in Space” franchise, there was a also a “Lost in Space” movie released back in 1998. That film was directed by Stephen Hopkins, and featured Gary Oldman, William Hurt, Mimi Rogers, Heather Graham, and Matt LeBlanc. Despite the mediocre reviews, the “Lost in Space” movie did manage to become a financial success, bringing in over $69M domestically and over $136M worldwide. You can watch the new “Lost in Space” trailer below, and set a reminder to watch the first season next month.
Earlier this month Netflix also confirmed that “Back Mirror” will be returning with new episodes. The popular anthology series, from Charlie Brooker, is coming back for a fifth season, but Netflix stopped short of confirming the exact premiere date.
