Netflix Adds Three to ‘The Punisher’ Season 2
Three new faces will meet The Punisher
Netflix has confirmed three more castings for “The Punisher: Season 2,” the announcement was made today by Marvel Television and Netflix. The three actors joining the new season are Josh Stewart (Insidious: The Last Key), Floriana Lima (Lethal Weapon), and Giorgia Whigham (Scream).
Josh Stewart will be taking on the role of John Pilgrim, Marvel describes the character stating, “Despite having left behind a life of violence, circumstances will force him to use his old skills and bring him into Frank Castle’s world.” Floriana Lima is set to play the role of “Krista Dumont,” and Marvel described that character as “a smart, compassionate, and driven psychotherapist for military veterans.” Last but not least, Giorgia Whigham will be playing the role of Amy Bendix, a “street-smart grifter with a mysterious past” according to Marvel.
These characters will be joining Jon Bernthal, who stars in the series as Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher. Also set to star in the second season are Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, and Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle. You can watch the entire first season on Netflix. Season 2 of “Marvel’s the Punisher” is Executive Produced by Steve Lightfoot, along with Jeph Loeb (“Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Luke Cage”), and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Luke Cage”).
“Josh, Floriana and Giorgia are all remarkable talents and we can’t wait for the audience to see what we have in store for them in the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher,” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television.
“We are incredibly excited to have Josh, Floriana and Giorgia joining the cast of Marvel’s The Punisher and seeing them bring their talents to the next chapter in the Frank Castle story,” added Steve Lightfoot, Showrunner and Executive Producer.
Next month Netflix will launch “Jessica Jones: Season 2,” that series is set to become available on March 8, 2018.
