Netflix is jumping into the reboot machine this April, and will give fans a new season of “Lost in Space”. The series will be a reboot of the original 1965 television show of the same name, which featured Guy Williams, June Lockhart, and Mark Goddard. The new series will star Mina Sundwall, Max Jenkins, Molly Parker, Parker Posey, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Toby Stephens, and is launching this Spring.
There was a also a “Lost in Space” movie released back in 1998, that project was directed by Stephen Hopkins, and featured Gary Oldman, William Hurt, Mimi Rogers, Heather Graham, and Matt LeBlanc. Despite the mediocre reviews, the “Lost in Space” movie did manage to become a financial success, bringing in over $69M domestically and over $136M worldwide.
The show will once again follow the Robinson family, who are part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space. Just like before, the family is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet and survive the elements. Along with the premiere date, Netflix also released a first-look trailer for the series, which you can watch below thanks to an early-morning upload onto the Netflix YouTube channel.

Netflix has had quite a few announcements this week, confirming that the new Sabrina Series will also star Miranda Otto as Zelda, and that Tiffany Haddish will lend her voice to an all-new animated comedy series from the team that created “BoJack Horseman”. Netflix also released a new trailer for the second-season of “Jessica Jones,” giving Marvel fans something to look forward to as they wait for “Avengers: Infinity War” to come out.
