A new update to the IMDbPro app will certainly make finding new content and contacts easier for users, but the company also revealed the Top 10 viewed pages across actors, television, film, and other categories, and the results are pretty varied.

Depending on how involved you are in the entertainment industry, you may or may not be familiar with IMDbPro. The application is one of the leading resources for entertainment industry professionals, and you’ll find that most actors, writers, producers, and creatives use the service regularly. This week IMDbPro launched several new features on the IMDbPro iPhone app, which first became available for download via the App Store on December 4, 2017. The new features, which the company stated were also the most frequently requested by customers since the launch of the mobile app, include image galleries, the ability to view full-screen photos, biographies, and awards information, trivia and news on name and title pages. To celebrate the two-month anniversary of the launch of its iPhone app, IMDbPro also revealed today the top 10 stars, movies and TV shows viewed on the IMDbPro app since its launch, and you can find those below.

The IMDbPro iPhone app allows IMDbPro members on-the-go with a convenient way to search the profiles of more than 8 million people, access industry news, get contact and representation details for more than 300,000 industry professionals and tap through to call or email directly from an iPhone. The app leverages other IMDbPro member-only benefits, including the ability to explore more than 25,000 in-development films and TV shows and gain insights into which professionals and titles are trending via IMDbPro exclusive STARmeter and MOVIEmeter data.

Since IMDbPro launched its first-ever mobile app, peak activity was seen during the 2018 Golden Globes (January 7), followed by the 2018 Academy Award nominations (January 23) and the start of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival (January 18). The IMDbPro app is exclusively available for use by IMDbPro members and can be downloaded for free in the App Store. “We are committed to relentless innovation on behalf of IMDbPro members and just a few months after our first-ever mobile app launched, we are introducing the inaugural round of new feature launches, which are guided by member feedback and further empower our customers to navigate the entertainment industry,” said Matt Kumin, Head of IMDbPro. “We are excited to see a correlation between use of the IMDbPro app and major entertainment industry events, demonstrating that our members find the app to be most useful when they are away from their desks conducting business and when there is breaking entertainment news. It’s fascinating to look at what signals the industry is sending in terms of the people and titles they are searching for most frequently when using our app.”
