NBC Will Stream the Golden Globes This Year

Of course there are a few catches

NBC had some good news for the streamers today, the network will offer a live-stream of the 75th Golden Globe Awards taking place on January 7 in Los Angeles. The event will go live at 8pm ET on nbc.com/live and via the NBC App to authenticated pay TV subscribers in select markets. If you want to watch the Golden Globes without being a pay TV subscribers, or if you want to get ready for the upcoming Super Bowl, you can buy an indoor HD Antenna like the Mohu Leaf $34 on Amazon.

NBC also confirmed the second list of presenters, the first list can be found here. Joining the list are Jennifer Aniston (Golden Globe Award winner and three-time award nominee), Roseanne Barr (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Mariah Carey (Golden Globe Award nominee), Jessica Chastain (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Emilia Clarke, Common (Golden Globe Award winner), Viola Davis (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee) and Zac Efron. Also presenting are John Goodman (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Kit Harington, Salma Hayek (Golden Globe Award nominee), Garrett Hedlund, Ron Howard (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Kate Hudson (Golden Globe Award winner), Allison Janney (six-time Golden Globe Award nominee), Dakota Johnson, and Dwayne Johnson. Also on the list are Angelina Jolie (three-time Golden Globe Award winner and six-time award nominee), Michael Keaton (Golden Globe Award winner and two-time award nominee), Helen Mirren (three-time Golden Globe Award winner and fifteen-time award nominee), Robert Pattinson, Sarah Paulson (Golden Globe Award winner and three-time award nominee), Natalie Portman (two-time Golden Globe Award winner and four-time award nominee), Andy Samberg (Golden Globe Award winner), Octavia Spencer (Golden Globe Award winner and three-time award nominee), Sebastian Stan, Emma Stone (Golden Globe Award winner and four-time award nominee), Keith Urban (Golden Globe Award nominee), Reese Witherspoon (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee) and Thelma & Louise stars Geena Davis (Golden Globe Award winner and four-time award nominee) and Susan Sarandon (nine-time Golden Globe Award nominee). The list was announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

As we reported earlier, Seth Meyers will host the event this year from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Previously announced, Golden Globe-nominee Oprah Winfrey will be the recipient of the 2018 Cecil B. DeMille Award. Produced by dick clark productions (dcp) in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 236 countries worldwide and are one of the few awards ceremonies to include both motion picture and television achievements.

“The HFPA Presents: Globes Red Carpet Live,” the official red carpet pre-show for the “75th Annual Golden Globe® Awards” is set to stream on Facebook on January 7 from 6-8 pm ET (3-5 pm PT) and can be found exclusively at facebook.com/GoldenGlobes. Just announced, NBC will be streaming the 75th Golden Globe® Awards, taking place Sunday, January 7 in Los Angeles, live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on nbc.com/live and via the NBC App to authenticated pay TV subscribers in select markets. The show will also be available via the NBC live stream on Century Link Stream, DirecTV Now, Fubo TV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, Sony PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV in markets where the local NBC station is carried.

In addition to that, the “2018 Golden Globe Arrival Special” will air on Sunday, January 7, 7-8 p.m. ET / 4-5 p.m. PT The special, hosted by Natalie Morales, Al Roker and Carson Daly, will capture all the excitement of the high-profile event, including engaging interviews and eagerly awaited red carpet fashions from the biggest stars in television and film.
