‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer Brings the Chaos and Terror

As promised yesterday on social-media, Marvel has released the first trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War”. The film will feature the heroes fan have been following since the debut of “Iron Man” back in 2008. Marvel fans can check out the trailer below, which is the first teaser for the highly anticipated summer blockbuster.
“Avengers: Infinity War” was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, working from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus. The cast will include Tessa Thompson, Scarlett Johansson, Karen Gillan, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
The Avengers team have ruled the box-office for almost ten years now, and “Avengers: Infinity War” will have a very high-score to beat if it wants to sit at number-one overall. The first “Avengers” movie made over $623M domestically and over $1.5B worldwide, if Infinity War wants to top the original on opening weekend, it will have top $207M over the film’s debut. The second film in the series, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” made $459M domestically and over $1.4B worldwide, that film had a $191M opening weekend. The highest-grossing Marvel film that wasn’t part of the Avengers’ trilogy was “Captain America: Civil War,” which earned $408M domestically and over $1.1B worldwide. The ‘Civil War’ installment had a $179M opening weekend.
The most recent Marvel film is “Thor: Ragnarok,” which is still in theaters nationwide. Thor’s latest installment has already grossed $791M worldwide (as of November 26, 2017) and had the highest opening weekend in the Thor franchise ($122M). The next Marvel movie to hit theaters will be “Black Panther” on February 16, 2018, that film was directed by Ryan Coogler, and features Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, and Forest Whitaker.
“Avengers: Infinity War” is scheduled to open on May 4, 2018. Disney will close out the May box-office with “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” the next standalone film set within the Star Wars universe. That film will release on May 25, 2018.
