Blizzard announced the first expansion for “Destiny 2” this week, and fans won’t even have to wait that long to play it. Revealed today, Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris is the first expansion to the Destiny 2 universe, and it will be releasing on December 5, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. It’s nice to see the expansion will be releasing on all three platforms at the same time, and hopefully that trend will continue.

Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris, takes place after the conclusion of the Destiny 2 campaign where you are dispatched to Mercury on a quest to find Osiris, the most powerful Warlock to have ever lived, to discover the answers humanity needs to fight back against the Vex.

Curse of Osiris adds a new chapter to the world of Destiny 2, expanding the universe by adding an all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters, a new destination to explore, Mercury and its Infinite Forest, a new social space to visit called the Lighthouse, new missions, new strikes, new raid content, new free roam activities, a world quest to complete, and more. Odds are good that most Destiny players haven’t even gotten through half of the content offered already, if so, you have until December to catch up with the rest of your clan. Blizzard released a debut trailer for the new DLC, which you can watch below.

If you ordered the The Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe edition ($99 on Amazon) then you already have the Expansion Pass for both Expansion I and Expansion II. You can still buy codes for the Expansion Pass on any platform ($34 at Amazon) so don’t feel bad if you didn’t go with the super edition at launch. This marks the first big expansion for the popular title, which has been a hit with players and critics over the last few weeks.
