‘Star Wars Battlefront 2’ single player campaign gets a trailer all its own
Make your mark on the Empire
While EA’s ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ offered amazing graphics and incredible sound design, the title left some fans screaming for a single-player campaign. The long-awaited sequel, going by the name “Battlefront 2,” hopes to answer that call. EA released a first-look trailer at the game’s single-player campaign mode today, and the lead protagonist and her clever droid are taking the spotlight. Fans of the franchise can watch the new trailer below, and get excited for the game’s big November release.
The beta for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms have all come and gone, so hopefully you got to test out the multiplayer mode before it ended. I tested the PC version of the game running on an i7-4790K and a Gigabyte G1 1080 in 4K, and was amazed at how well even the beta ran. You will have to get the game through Origin if you want to play on PC, but PS4 and Xbox One players will have more options.
The bonuses you get for pre-ordering depend on the edition you buy. The Elite Trooper Pack (available on Amazon for $79) will get you a 3-day head start on the game before anyone else, and upgraded versions of all 4 trooper classes (Officer, Assault, Heavy, and Specialist). You will also get 4 epic ability upgrades (one for each trooper class) and exclusive “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey. Pre-orders also get instant access to six hero and starfighter epic Star Cards (Kylo Ren: Power Reach and Solid Freeze, Rey: Far Sight and Deep Mind, Starfighters: Enhanced Auxiliary Power and First Order ship upgrade). Players will also get instant access to “Star Wars: The Last Jedi Millennium Falcon” with updated sounds and appearance.
The Standard Edition pre-order (available on Amazon for $59) will get you the Star Wars Battlefront II: The Last Jedi Heroes pack, which includes the outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey, the six hero and starfighter epic Star Cards, and the Millennium Falcon with updated sounds and appearance.
The game should help Star Wars fans wait-out “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” which is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017. Of course fans will have to rely on the new novels and the rest of “Star Wars: Rebels” to help them wait for the new spinoff “Solo: A Star Wars Story“.
Star Wars Battlefront II is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2017.
