‘Black Panther’ trailer brings the war to Wakanda
Long live the King
Marvel released a new “Black Panther” trailer on Monday morning, teasing a few new scenes from the highly-anticipated installment before the film hits theaters this winter. This is the second-trailer that Marvel has released for the film, but if you were at San Diego Comic-Con this year you saw most of it already. While “Thor” and “Avengers: Infinite War” are certainly big titles that are scheduled to release from within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release ‘Black Panther’ as well, and the film is expected to dominate the box-office this February.
“Marvel’s Black Panther” was directed by Ryan Coogler, working off a screenplay that he wrote with Joe Robert Cole. The film features Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Phylicia Rashad. If you need to set a reminder, Black Panther will hit theaters on February 16, 2017. It will be interesting to see how the Marvel release impacts the second-week gross of “Fifty Shades Freed” and Sony’s “Peter Rabbit” family-film, both of which decided to open only one-week prior to Black Panther. Fans of Black Panther can watch the trailer below, thanks to an early morning upload from Marvel.
The next big Marvel film to hit theaters will be the new Thor film on November 3, 2017. “Thor: Ragnarok” was directed by Taika Waititi, the story is from Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost. The new installment features Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeff Goldblum.
