The new thriller “The Babysitter” puts a new spin on the popular babysitter fetish for young-tweens everywhere, adding a touch of horror to the storyline. The film follows a lonely, 12-year-old boy who falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that she’s part of a satanic cult that wants to kill him.

The film features Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, and Judah Lewis, and the first trailer was released earlier today. The story was written by Brian Duffield, and the film was directed by McG. McG and Mary Viola are producing with David Boies, Zack Schiller, Steven Bello, Duffield, and James McGough serving as exec producers. Devin Andre and Jimmy Warden are co-producers. Horror-thriller fans can watch the trailer below.

Weaving was recently featured in the film “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” playing the role of Penelope in the project. She also played the role of Brianne in the children’s film ‘Monster Trucks”. Bella Thorne has had quite a career boost over the last few years as well. Thorne currently stars in the Freeform drama “Famous in Love,” which is based on the best-selling novel series. Thorne is also featured in the horror-thriller “Amityville: The Awakening,” where she played the role of Belle. Thrillers are kind of a go-to genre for Thorne, who also appeared in “Boo! A Madea Halloween,” and the popular MTV series “Scream: The TV Series,” where she made quite a splash in a hot-tub.

The film will take advantage of the Halloween season later this month, set to release on the video-streaming service on October 13, 2017. Netflix will be airing Halloween treats all month long, but you can also catch the popular “13 Nights of Halloween” on Freeform to fill your spook-needs. We covered the schedule that will be airing on Freeform this month, which includes several hours of the best Halloween movie ever made “Hocus Pocus”. Thriller fans will just have to wait a few more days before “The Babysitter” hits Netflix, until then, there are plenty of Thrillers coming to theaters over the next few weeks.
