Saddle up and settle down, there’s a new trailer for everyone’s favorite western-RPG from the makers of Grand Theft Auto. Rockstar Games followed through with their promise to deliver more “Red Dead Redemption 2” news, releasing a new trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel. The new video for “Red Dead Redemption 2” hints at the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America. The game was hit with a small delay, missing 2017 entirely, and will instead launching in the Spring of 2018. It might be for the best, the Fall is pretty crowded with games like “Middle-earth: Shadow of War,” “Star Wars: Battlefront 2,” and the PC version of “Destiny 2,” all releasing over the next few weeks. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is set to release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems, there’s been no official word on a PC release at this time. Fans of the franchise can watch the new story trailer below, which features a look at the main characters, and a lot of grit. Like most trailers it’s a little hard to judge which parts are cinematic and which parts are gameplay, but we look forward to robbing trains, taming horses, and jumping in place instead of leaping over knee-high walls this Spring.

The delay should give players enough time to master the original title, which has become a fan-favorite in the open-world genre. The original title, simply called “Red Dead Redemption,” was released back in 2010 for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. This is the second-trailer released for the game so far, and hopefully we will get a more exact release date for the game over the next few months. Until then, you’ll just have to hold your horses and wait for an announcement from Rockstar Games.
