Even with classic films and television series being available to stream whenever we need them, a TV marathon filled with social-media interactivity just feels better sometimes. Depending on your age, you may have grown up with “13 Nights of Halloween,” which is now on Freeform. The popular annual event is gearing up to launch in just a few weeks, with several popular franchises waiting to fill your cold October nights. It’s a magical time of year when dozens of the best Halloween-themed movies and series air on the network, all leading up to Halloween night.
The “13 Nights of Halloween” will once again host a wide-array of Halloween classics including an all-day marathon of “Hocus Pocus” on Halloween (the greatest Halloween movie of all time), and a Tim Burton marathon on October 23, featuring “Edward Scissorhands,” “Dark Shadows,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Additional programming arriving to Freeform this month includes the Freeform premieres of “Into the Woods,” starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Chris Pine; the 2012 comedy “Fun Size,” starring Victoria Justice; and the David Spade comedy “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star,” and of course a ton more. Freeform is also adding episodes of hit sitcoms “Gilmore Girls,” “The Mindy Project,” “Last Man Standing” and “Reba,” plus all seasons of “Chasing Life” return to the Freeform app on October 27.
All of this begins on October 19th, where you will find “Spooky Buddies,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part Two,” “The Haunted Mansion” (2003), “The Addams Family” (1991) and “Addams Family Values,” an airing of “Hocus Pocus” and “ParaNorman”.
The hits will continue all the way through October 31st, and you can watch the content on Freeform or the Freeform App, and both platforms will be adding a ton of new series and films throughout the month of October. Be sure to watch your fill of “Hocus Pocus,” you will have to wait an entire year before you get to binge on the beloved classic before it returns to Halloween marathon month.
