Paramount Pictures announced today that principal photography has begun on director John Krasinski’s new project “A Quiet Place”. Krasinski (“The Hollars, The Office”) also co-stars in the film alongside wife Emily Blunt (“The Girl On The Train”). Also starring in the film are Noah Jupe (“Suburbicon”, “Wonder”) and Millicent Simmonds (“Wonderstruck”). The plot is being kept under-wraps at the moment, but you can probably guess by the list of producers that this next project is going to be quite the thriller. The film is being produced by Michael Bay (“Transformers”) and his Platinum Dunes’ partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. They are responsible for horror-thrillers like “Ouija,” “The Purge,” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. Krasinksi will be working from a spec script written by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, which was rewritten by Krasinski.

Fans of Emily Blunt can also look forward to her role as Mary Poppins in the Disney live-action film “Marry Poppins Returns”. That project is being directed by Rob Marshall, and the film is based on the books written by P.L. Travers. Along with Blunt, the Disney installment also stars Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury, Dick Van Dyke, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. While it was met with mixed-reviews, Blunt’s recent film “The Girls on the Train” was a financial success for the studio. The film opened at number-one back in October 2016, and went on to gross over $173M worldwide. As for husband John Krasinki, the actor is also getting ready for his new role as Jack Ryan in the new Tom Clancy adaptation for Amazon. That project is slated for 2018, and we will have a few trailers and teases before the big premiere. Recently, Krasinki had a small role in the historical-drama “Detroit,” which was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, and starred John Boyega, Anthony Mackie, and Algee Smith.

If you’re excited to see Blunt and Krasinki together on the big-screen you will have along wait ahead of you, Paramount Pictures will release “A Quiet Place” on April 6, 2018. Hopefully we will get a few trailers and a plot synopsis over the holidays for the big project.
