You can coordinate your new fall look with the latest offerings from Beats by Dr. Dre. Appleunveiled the new Beats Studio3 Wireless models this week, confirming the new features and capabilities of the latest models. The headphones have been a hit with collaborators in the past, bringing Alexander Wang, MCM, Snarkitecture and most recently Balmain to the Apple side of the headset market. The Beats Studio3 Wireless offers the same design that have made Beats popular with users in the past, but the new set offers redesigned acoustic components and upgraded noise isolation.
The new Beats Studio3 Wireless headsets are integrated with the Apple W1 chip, which enables quite a few new features and upgrades over the previous generation. The chip will allow one-step Bluetooth connection to an iPhone, this is done via proximity pairing, and iPhone users can switch between devices logged into the same iCloud account to easily move from an iPhone conversation to watching a movie on your MacBook. The W1 chip will also provide nearly double the battery life of Beats Studio3’s predecessor, totaling 22 hours of wireless playback with Pure ANC on. By turning Pure ANC off directly from the earcup, users will be able to get up to an 40 hours of nonstop playback in low power mode, all without sacrificing audio quality. Apple also stated that the “Fast Fuel” deisgn will give users up to 3 hours of playback after just 10 minutes of charging via the included Micro-USB cable.
“Beats Studio3 delivers with a level of sophistication in both technology and audio fidelity beyond anything we’ve ever brought to market,” said Luke Wood, president of Beats by Dr. Dre. “Since our brand’s inception, we’ve strived to fix the degradation of sound heightened by the commodification of consumer electronics. Now with the right vision, team and resources, we see technology enabling the perfect sound experience in Studio3.”
The new headset won’t be cheap, models will start at $349 and are available at Apple.com for interested buyers. Of course you can usually find the Solo Series and the previous Studio series on sites like Amazon.com at a discount if you are looking to save some money.
