Disney is celebrating Force Friday II this weekend, and Disney XD is using the fan-holiday to announce the premiere date for the animated-series “Star Wars: Rebels”. The network also released a season 4 trailer for the show, it was announced earlier this year that season 4 will be the final season of “Star Wars: Rebels”. If you want to set a reminder for the big season premiere, episode 1 of the fourth-season will air on October 16, 2017. If you have a cable-subscription you can watch the episodes on the Disney XD app, or online.

Teasing the trailer Disney added, “All paths come together,” the video was published on the network’s official YouTube channel. The show itself has been a big hit with both fans and critics over the last three seasons, the show’s events are set between the events of Star Wars Episodes III and IV.

If you are new to the story, “Star Wars: Rebels” unfolds during a dark time when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. The show begins on Lothal, as Imperial forces are occupying the remote planet, and are ruining the lives of its people. The motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost — which contains Jedi Kanan, pilot Hera, young Ezra, Zeb, Sabine, the old astromech droid Chopper — are among a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Disney describes the story adding, “Together, they will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.” Fans of the series can watch the trailer below.

As for “Force Friday” the weekend-long event is still going strong. Sites like Amazon.com are holding huge sales on Star Wars films, merch, new novels, and decor. The event is celebrating all things Star Wars, but is focusing on the upcoming new installment “Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi” which is set to hit theaters this December.
