Seeing is believing in the first “Mother!” trailer with Jennifer Lawrence
Lawrence sets the stage for a thriller
Paramount Pictures released the first official movie trailer for “Mother!” this week, a new mystery-drama set to hit theaters this September. The film will feature an all-star cast, including stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer. Fans of mysteries can watch the first official trailer below, which was released late Monday night on YouTube by Paramount Pictures. The thriller was directed Darren Aronofsky, and will hit theaters on September 15, 2017. Fans probably know Aronofskybest best from his work on “Black Swan,” and “Requiem for a Dream,” and fans of the writer/director should be excited to see him work with such an accomplished cast of actors. In the film a couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.
As we mentioned before when the first teaser-trailer dropped late last month, the film will have a pretty easy debut weekend. Right now “Mother!” will open against the film “All I See is You” with Yvonne Strahovski, Blake Lively, and Jason Clarke, and the action-adventure film “American Assassin” starring Michael Keaton, Dylan O’Brien, and Taylor Kitsch. It’s the next weekend when the “Mother!” will have the most competition, as the teen-thriller “Friend Request” and the action-comedy “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” are set to debut nationwide. It will also be a big weekend for families, as the animated-film “Ninjago” is also opening that same weekend.
Fans of Jennifer Lawrence will see her in the next X-Men installment called “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” where she is expected to reprise her Raven / Mystique role. Another project that Lawrence is attached to is the 2018 film “Red Sparrow”. As we reported earlier this summer, Michelle Pfeiffer is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking a role in “Ant-Man and the Wasp” as the character Janet van Dyne. If you need to set a reminder, horror fans can catch “mother!” starting on September 15, 2017.
