Paramount Pictures released a first-look trailer for “Suburbicon” this morning, a film directed by George Clooney, and starring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore. Also appearing in the film are Oscar Isaac, Jack Conley, and Glenn Fleshler. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters in October.

In the film ‘Suburbicon’ represents a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns, the perfect place to raise a family. The story follows the Lodge family during the summer of 1959, where they are happily living the American dream. Just below the tranquil surface is a disturbing reality, and husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) will navigate his town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence.

The studio teases the film adding, “This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.” Fans of Clooney, Damon or Moore, can watch the first look trailer below, thanks to an early morning upload to Youtube.

Clooney directed Damon in the film “The Monuments Men” back in 2014, a film that also starred Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, and John Goodman. Clooney also directed the 2011 film “The Ides of March,” the 2008 film “Leatherheads” (which starred George Clooney, Renée Zellweger, and John Krasinski) the 2005 film “Good Night, and Good Luck,” and the 2002 film “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”.

Matt Damon could use an old-fashion Clooney reunion after his last film “The Great Wall” tanked at the domestic box-office. That film was directed by Yimou Zhang, working from a screenplay written by Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro. Damon played the role of William in the film, which had European mercenaries and Chinese warriors fighting off mystical beasts to protect the Great Wall of China. The film did find financial success overseas, bringing in $331M worldwide, but only grossed $45M domestically.

Paramount Pictures will release ‘Suburbicon’ in theaters on November 3, 2017.
