Earlier today during Freeform’s “Shadowhunters”’ San Diego Comic-Con panel, the network announced that actress Alisha Wainwright, who portrays Maia, has been upped to series regular for the upcoming third season. Also revealed during the panel by executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, previously announced guest star Sarah Hyland will be portraying an iteration of the devious Seelie Queen in the August 7 and August 14 episodes of the series.

“Shadowhunters” airs Mondays on Freeform, and episodes are available on the Freeform app and Freeform.com (same date and time).

Along with revealing who Sarah Hyland is playing, an exclusive first look at her portrayal of the Seelie Queen was shown during the panel. You can watch the teaser-video below for a look at Hyland’s transformation.

The “Shadowhunters” digital EP will be released by Hollywood Records on Friday, July 21, on platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and more. The six-track album features the theme song “This is the Hunt” performed by Ruelle, plus two songs performed by Alberto Rosende.

In an all-new episode airing July 17, two of the three Mortal Instruments are missing and everyone is on the hunt for the last one – the Mortal Mirror. Jace and Clary race to recover it first before it could fall into enemy hands. But along the way, Clary realizes that her brother Jonathan may be closer than she thought. Meanwhile, Isabelle has a hard time accepting the fact that her little brother Max is growing up as Maia struggles to bring her guard down with Simon.

“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Michael Reisz, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz and Robert Kulzer. The series stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Herondale, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.
