The “Teen Choice Awards” have announced the second and final wave of nominees. Selena Gomez leads Wave Two nominations with eight nominations across music and social media categories, while Justin Bieber follows with seven. Hit blockbuster movie “Beauty and the Beast,” cable series “Teen Wolf” and new television series “Riverdale” each earned six nods.

Additionally, five new categories have been added to the Wave Two ballot: Choice Gamer, Choice Changemaker and Choice Latin Song, as well as Choice TVShip and Choice MovieShip, which honor TV and film’s favorite buddies, pairs and teams. Host(s), performers, presenters and additional nominees will be announced soon.

Voting officially will open tonight at 9:00 PM PT via TeenChoice.com and Twitter. Starting tonight through Wednesday, July 19 at 9:00 PM PT, fans are allowed to vote 10 times per category, per day, per platform user ID, for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2017 Wave Two nominees.

Vote via Twitter by tweeting a category hashtag (which you will find on the website) with the nominee’s name (either @nominee or if the nominee does not have a Twitter account use #nominee). You may only vote for one TEEN CHOICE nominee per Tweet.

The event will be live on Sunday, August 13 on FOX if you want to set a reminder. You can find the entire list of nominations on teenchoice.com.

As we stated before this is the second wave of nominees, it will be interesting to see if Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber comes out on top from the event. This year FOX added five new categories for fans to choose their favorites.

Music fans should also look for an epic night of music and drama on the network. Carlotta (Queen Latifah) comes face-to-face with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett), as the worlds of EMPIRE and STAR collide Wednesday, Sept. 27 on FOX. The special event begins with the Season Four premiere of EMPIRE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the Season Two premiere of STAR (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The night kicks off with EMPIRE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). On the brink of Empire Entertainment’s 20th anniversary, Lucious is making his first public appearance after the explosion in Las Vegas, while all members of the Lyon family, as well as Lucious’ nurse, Claudia (guest star Demi Moore), have their own interests in Lucious regaining his physical and mental faculties. Then, on STAR (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the girls – with Carlotta as their manager – continue to face roadblocks, despite their victory at Atlanta NextFest.
