Warner Bros. Pictures released a second trailer for “Annabelle: Creation,” the next installment to the popular ‘The Conjuring’ storyline. The new horror-thriller is expected to hit theaters later this summer.
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
David F. Sandberg (“Lights Out”) directs from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote “Annabelle.” Produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, the film stars Stephanie Sigman (“Spectre”), Talitha Bateman (“The 5th Wave”), Lulu Wilson (upcoming “Ouija 2,” “Deliver Us from Evil”), Philippa Anne Coulthard (“After the Dark”), Grace Fulton (“Badland”), Lou Lou Safran (“The Choice”), Samara Lee (“Foxcatcher,” “The Last Witch Hunter”), Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s “Without a Trace”) and Miranda Otto (Showtime’s “Homeland,” “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy).
The previous film “Annabelle” was a very successful spinoff for the studio, grossing over $257 million at the global box-office. The previous installment was directed by John R. Leonetti, and Gary Dauberman wrote the script for the film. “Annabelle” featured Ward Horton, Annabelle Wallis and Alfre Woodard. You can watch the second trailer for the film below.
This isn’t the first trailer for the film, you can watch the first trailer that was released back in March here. Horror-thriller fans can catch “Annabelle: Creation” in theaters starting on August 11, 2017. The film will open against Lionsgate’s drama “The Glass Castle,” that film stars Brie Larson, Naomi Watts, and Woody Harrelson. Also opening that weekend is the animated comedy “The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature”. Sony’s
“The Dark Tower” opens just one-week before “Annabelle: Creation” hits theaters, and the action-comedies “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” and “Logan Lucky” will open just one-week after “Annabelle: Creation”. Horror-thriller fans can also put “Polaroid” on their radar, the horror-thriller stars Madelaine Petsch, Kathryn Prescott, and Grace Zabriskie, and will release in theaters in late August this year.
