“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” fans will be getting another season of their favorite Netflix comedy next year. Netflix confirmed that the series will be getting a fourth-season, following another terrific year of customer and critic reviews.
The series stars Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane. Executive producers are Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond and David Miner. The Emmy nominated series is produced by Universal Television, Little Stranger Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment and Bevel Gears for Netflix.
This past season had quite a few twists and comedic adventures, and season 4 will have to pick-up the loose-ends. Kimmy went to Community College for a quick spell, before moving on to Colombia University and joining the Crew team. While her collegiate goals were never quite accomplished, Kimmy did manage to make a few new friends and met a possible love-interest (who may or may not be on his way to becoming a Reverend). Tituss found, and lost, love. This did give Tituss a chance to ‘Lemonade’ for us, which was worth the current heart-break. As Kimmy’s neighborhood slowly becomes more popular, Lillian Kaushtupper continues to deal with the changes happening all around her. Jacqueline White did finally manage to change the name of the Washington Redskins (now the Washington Guntakers) but sadly lost the man she once loved in the process. Her lover, played by David Cross and then by Billy Magnussen, was ‘smushed’ and his sudden good-looks changed his personality and he became everything he once hated. Jacqueline White did find her calling though, becoming a talent-agent for Tituss and realizing that she doesn’t need a man to define her worth, or further her career in any way.
Netflix stopped short of announcing a premiere date for the new season, but you can expect a few new trailers and teasers before season 4 airs on the popular streaming service.
