The first “Murder on the Orient Express” trailer is finally out, and mystery fans can start putting together the clues and naming their suspects. The film is set to release in November, and is one of the bigger releases that FOX has planned for award-season. An all-star cast will lure moviegoers into theaters this fall, but the film will have to compete with the comedy “Daddy’s Home 2,” and Sony’s animated film “Star”. Fans can watch the first trailer for the film here, or above, thanks to an early morning release from the studio on Youtube.

The studio teased the film stating, “What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told.”

The film is of course based on the novel by best-selling author Agatha Christie ($8 on Amazon), and if you haven’t read the book or have seen the previous adaptations, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect. In the film one man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again. With the fall release date, you should have plenty of time to read the book before the film releases, and be a step ahead of the killer the entire time.

This adaptation was directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film stars an all-star cast including Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad.

One of the more popular adaptions of this film was released back in 1974, that film was directed by Sidney Lumet, working from a screenplay by Paul Dehn. That film featured Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, and Ingrid Bergman.

Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon, Simon Kinberg, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Schaefer, and Judy Hofflund produced the film, which will release in theaters on November 10, 2017.
