‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ delayed until Spring 2018
Oh the tease
Rockstar has decided the best way to tell you that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is delayed, is by showing you how wonderful the game is coming along. The studio teased its fans today by releasing new screens of the highly-anticipated title, just as they break-hearts around the world announcing that the release date is now “Spring 2018”. The game was originally slated for the fall of this year.
According to Rockstar’s official announcement, “Red Dead Redemption 2” is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is still no word on the game coming to PC, so fans on that platform will just have to sit and wait for now.
The studio described the sequel stating, “This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.”
Rockstar added, “We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2”.
Fans can checkout the rest of the screenshots on the company’s official website. The game is a follow-up the praised open-world western released back in May of 2010. With so many games releasing on time, and with bugs, fans probably won’t mind waiting a few extra weeks to get a game that doesn’t crash every 10 minutes or corrupt their saved-game files. “Red Dead Redemption” fans have waited this long for a sequel, so they shouldn’t mind just waiting a little while longer for the finished product. At least it looks real purdy in the pictures that Rockstar posted online.
