Netflix released an official trailer for “GLOW,” the new series set to debut on the video-streaming service starring Alison Brie. The new comedy is inspired by the real story of the 1980’s female wrestling league, which you may remember was called the ‘Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling,’ or GLOW for short.

Inspired by the short-lived but beloved pop-culture craze from the 80s, GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture perfect life turns out not to be what it seems. At the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling super stardom.

Jenji Kohan (Orange is the New Black) and Tara Herrmann (Orange is the New Black) are executive producers, and the series was co-created by Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black), who will serve as showrunners. You can check out the official trailer for the series below.

Fans of Alison Brie can see her in the movie “The Little Hours,” which will hit theaters in June. The adult-comedy was written and directed by Jeff Baena, and follows a young servant fleeing from his master who takes refuge at a convent full of emotionally unstable nuns in the middle ages. Starring in the film alongside Brie are her husband Dave Franco, as well as Kate Micucci, Aubrey Plaza, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, and Fred Armisen. “The Little Hours” is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2017.
