Spider-Man Gets Caught in Latest Homecoming Clip
Not so slick with the senses
Tom Holland and Zendaya were on-hand at the ‘MTV Movie and TV Awards’ this weekend to premiere a new clip from “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. The new superhero installment is set to hit theaters this July, but you can get an early look at Spider-Man in action thanks to the trailer below.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will officially swing into theaters on July 7, 2017, it will open against smaller releases like “City of Ghosts,” “A Ghost Story” and “Patti Cake$,” but it won’t have a rival major-release competing against it. At least not until the following week, when “War for the Planet of the Apes” and “Wish Upon” are scheduled to debut in theaters.
In this Spider-Man installment a young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) heads back to NYC after the events in “Captain America: Civil War”. Here Peter Parker begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). The studio teases the film stating, “Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.”
The film was directed by Jon Watts, and was produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Jeremy Latcham, and Stan Lee served as the film’s Executive Producer. The screenplay was written by Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley, Jon Watts, Christopher Ford, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Joining Tom Holland in the cast are Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
Tom Holland is set to return as Spider-Man in “Avengers: Infinity War,” directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Holland will co-star alongside Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Chris Pratt, Brie Larson, Vin Diesel, Scarlett Johansson, Dave Bautista, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Rooker, Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Bradley Cooper, Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Benicio Del Toro, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Mackie.
