CBS will be playing matchmaker once again for Leah Remini and Kevin James, the former TV-couple will reunite on James’ new series later this season. Leah Remini will join the show “Kevin Can Wait” as a guest-star, the first Remini episode will be the first of a two-part season finale. Fans can catch the “Kevin Can Wait” two-part season 1 finale on May 1, and May 8 on CBS.
Fans should remember that James and Remini starred together for nine seasons on the hit comedy-series “The King of Queens,” which was also on CBS. In the two-part finale, Kevin agrees to come out of retirement briefly to reprise his undercover assignment in an ongoing police investigation where he and fellow cop Vanessa Cellucci (Remini) will, once again, pose as husband and wife.
“Kevin Can Wait” stars Kevin James, Erinn Hayes, Taylor Spreitler, Mary-Charles Jones, James DiGiacomo, Ryan Cartwright, Lenny Venito, Gary Valentine and Leonard Earl Howze. Kevin James, Rock Reuben, Rob Long, Jeff Sussman, Andy Fickman, Tony Sheehan and Steve Mosko are executive producers for CBS Television Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television. It was confirmed earlier this week that “Kevin Can Wait” has been renewed for the 2017-2018 season on the CBS Television Network. CBS renewed almost every show that the network had, confirming 18 returning series for the 2017-2018 season. The network did state that additional returning series pick-ups for next season will be announced at a later date, so if your show isn’t on the list there is still hope. You can find all of the shows that CBS has renewed here. FOX also confirmed its summer schedule, with new shows from Ramsey Goran and a new musical-series with host Jamie Foxx. NBC added two summer-series to its summer lineup, including the new show “Midnight, Texas”. You can find NBC’s summer schedule and premiere dates here. More series are expected to be added to the list over the next few weeks.
