Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will premiere in theaters in just two short weeks, and the cast and crew hosted the U.S. premiere this week to celebrate with fans and friends. It was an extravagant affair of course, taking place at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.

The stars of the film came out to share the event with hundreds of fans of the beloved story. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens were in attendance, along with Luke Evans and Josh Gad. Also attending the event were John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and the original voice of Belle; Paige O’Hara. Celine Dion also made an appearance on the red-carpet, the iconic singer is returning to the franchise to sing another song. Disney is set to release the film in theaters on March 17, 2017.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic, offering new versions of the beloved original songs and adding a few new ones. “Beauty and the Beast” is the story of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Earlier this year Disney confirmed that Celine Dion will perform an all-new original song, “How Does A Moment Last Forever,” for the film, and that song will also be included on the film’s soundtrack. That soundtrack and song are already available on sites like Amazon.com. The new song was written by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin”) and veteran lyricist and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (“The Lion King,” “Evita”). It was announced earlier this month that Ariana Grande and John Legend will perform the “Beauty and the Beast” title track for the film.
