‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ offers a new tv-spot

Marvel has started releasing televised ad-spots for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” following the big Super Bowl trailer last week. The new video features all of your favorite returning characters, including the lovable baby Groot. Marvel fans can watch the new spot below, or on the official Marvel YouTube channel.
James Gunn directed the new installment, he also directed the first film. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will star Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan. Also featured in the film are Kurt Russell, Nathan Fillion, Chris Sullivan, Dave Bautista, Glenn Close, and Bradley Cooper will once again voice Rocket.
Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew will be teaming up with “The Avengers” team in the film “The Avengers: Infinity War,” expected to release one year after “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” on May 4. Marvel released a BTS feature for the new The Avengers installment this week, featuring Robert Downey jr., Chris Pratt and Tom Holland. It was also confirmed this week that Spider-Man will make an appearance in the Infinity War project.
The first “Guardians of the Galaxy” was a terrific summer-hit for Marvel back in 2014, the film skipped the regular May release window and opened in August. In theaters GOTG made over $333M domestically, the film grossed over $773M worldwide. Another major Marvel release will be “Black Panther,” picking up with the same character introduced in “Captain America: Civil War”. That film was directed by Ryan Coogler, and will star Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis. Fans can catch that film on February 12, 2018. Don’t forget about “Captain Marvel,” starring Brie Larson, that film is currently set to premiere in 2019. “Captain Marvel” will be directed by Gene Colan.
As the trailer mentions, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will release on May 5, 2017.
