Saturday Night Live is gearing up for more episodes, so expect a lot of Trump jokes and more Alec Baldwin. This season Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated actress Felicity Jones will host, and will hopefully bring some Star Wars magic to the set. Fans probably remember Jones from her small project “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” or the recent release of “A Monster Calls”. This will be Jones’ first time hosting “Saturday Night Live,” and she will take the stage on January 14, 2017.

Jones’ “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” continues to thrive at the box-office, despite the film being in theaters for 4 weeks now. The film has now made over $477.36M domestically, and over $437.1M overseas. The $914.46M worldwide gross for the film is expected to grow throughout January, as the film inches closer to becoming another $1B gain for Disney. Meanwhile Jones’ hit “A Monster Calls” has made $2.17M domestically, and over $34M overseas. That film was directed by J.A. Bayona, the screenplay was written by Patrick Ness. The film is based on the Ness’ novel of the same name. The film stars Lewis MacDougall, Sigourney Weaver and Felicity Jones.

Sturgill Simpson will also be making his musical guest debut. Simpson’s third studio album, “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth,” was released last year to critical acclaim garnering him a 2017 Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year.

Then on January 21, 2017, Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated Aziz Ansari will host for his first time. Ansari stars in the critically acclaimed Netflix series “Master of None,” which will return later this year. Big Sean will make his musical guest debut during that episode as well. His upcoming album, “I Decided.,” is set for release on Feb. 3. Sean’s last studio album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
