Beyoncé heads to Coachella 2017
Get your flowers and feathers ready
You can start planning your desert-fashion and begin ordering your body paint and glitter, Coachella has officially announced the lineup for 2017. There is quite an eclectic bunch headed to Coachella this year, with headliners Beyoncé, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar all getting the big-font treatment on the announcement released this morning.
The yearly event, which takes place in Indio, California, added quite a few big-names to the opening roster this year, though Beyoncé seemed to be the early favorite on social-media. Fans can expect to see Lorde, who is expected to launch her highly-anticipated second album in 2017, and Travis Scott on-stage as well. They will be joined by Father John Misty, Bon Iver, Future, Justice, New Order, and Empire of the Sun. Coachella takes place over two-weekends in the spring, this year the event will begin on April 14, 2017 and run over the weekends through April 23, 2017.
You can’t buy passes for the event yet, you will have to wait until Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00am PST. If you haven’t gone before, you should familiarize yourself with the step‑by‑step guide for ordering, provided by the official site. The site also goes over commonly asked order & shipping details, and other FAQs you might have about the event. This year the General Admission (GA) Pass will run you $399, which allows entrance to the venue and day parking lots for all three days. Of course you can go all-out this year and grab a VIP Pass for $899, that will allow you into the venue, day parking lots and the two venue VIP areas for all three days. Of course VIP parking is sold separately.
If you want to checkout all of the acts that are currently booked, you can find the official announcement on the Coachella website, along with dates and other pricing information.
As with every year we remind readers not to wear Native American headdresses, and to take more sunscreen than you think you will need for the desert.
