FOX released a new trailer for the psychological thriller “A Cure for Wellness,” starring Dane DeHaan, Jason Isaacs and Mia Goth. The film is set to release this winter, but fans of the genre can get a new look at the dark and mysterious project thanks to the trailer released by the studio this morning. The film has been teased in the past, and this marks the second official trailer that has been released for the film.

Directed By Gore Verbinski, the film follows a young executive tasked with retrieving his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.

Many thriller-fans know Gore Verbinski from his work on “The Ring” back in 2002. That popular film starred Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson and Brian Cox. Verbinski also worked as director on several of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films for Disney.

This new project is a far-cry from pirates and swashbucklers though, and the film was produced by Arnon Milchan, Gore Verbinski and David Crockett. You can get a look at the new film in the trailer below, or from the official YouTube page from the studio.

If you’re excited to see the film, you won’t have to wait too long to catch it in theaters. 20th Century FOX will release “A Cure for Wellness” in theaters starting on February 17, 2017. The film will open one-week after “Fifty Shades Darker,” the follow-up in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise, and could limit the sequel’s reign at the domestic box-office.

We will just have to wait to see how far horror-fans react to the film when it hits theaters this winter.
