Amazon’s most popular last-minute gift is still the gift-card
There's still time, and they always like it
Luckily for all of us in the gift-giving world, gift-cards have become a welcomed gift in our society. They were once considered a tad cliché, and while it’s true that they don’t have quite the same personal touch as a monogrammed sweater, they are always the right-size and are never just thrown in the back of closets.
Online shopping is still well on its way to dominating the retail market, and with more brands, styles and retailers vying for our attention, there are more gifts than ever to choose from this year. Everyone wants to give a gift that is either beautiful, useful, personal, or somehow all three, and Amazon wants to help you out. This year Amazon Gift Cards are being offered in more than 270 designs, and they even have new holiday packaging. Gone are the days of a simple card within a card, these options even include shiny tins to wrap, some with a foil-accented gift tag. Others options have a slide-open “reveal” with jingle bells, and there is a Prime exclusive, limited-edition teddy bear that you can even use to accentuate your gift. You wouldn’t be alone in sending a gift-card this year, Amazon’s Gift Cards are a top-selling item during the holidays, and Amazon expects more customers than ever to purchase and redeem Amazon Gift Cards this holiday season.
