The E! debut of “Rob and Chyna” was a major success for the network, and the ongoing success of the series has granted the two reality-stars another season of episodes. Already one of cable’s largest launches in the unscripted-series market, the addition of the baby is sure to help the show reach new heights in 2017. The show will get a special this year, called the “Rob & Chyna Baby Special,” and that event is set to air on Sunday, December 18 at 8PM on the E! network.

E! officially announced this week that the network has renewed the hit reality series “Rob & Chyna” for a second season. The series follows Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna, his fiancée and mother of his newborn daughter Dream, has been picked up for a second season. The eight-episode second season will premiere in 2017. The network stopped short of announcing an exact premiere date at this time, but an announcement is sure to be released over the next few weeks.

“Rob and Chyna’s romance struck such a chord with our viewers, who were engaged in their story even before we started filming the first season,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Programming & Development, E! “We are excited to share the next chapter of their story.”

The premiere episode of “Rob & Chyna” remains cable’s most-watched unscripted launch of 2016 among adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49. “Rob & Chyna” marks the second year in a row that E! has delivered cable’s biggest unscripited launch (“I Am Cait” in 2015).

“Rob & Chyna” is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Ryan Seacrest serves as Executive Producer for Ryan Seacrest Productions. Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam and Ailee O’Neill serve as Executive Producers for Bunim/Murray Productions.
