Martin Scorsese’s “Silence” gets its first trailer
Martin Scorsese’s next project now has an official trailer, thanks to an early upload from Paramount Pictures. Scorsese fans will have to wait until early 2017 to see the film in theaters, but you can grab a quick look at the project thanks to the first trailer.
Martin Scorsese’s “Silence” tells the story of two Christian missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who face the ultimate test of faith when they travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor (Liam Neeson) – at a time when Christianity was outlawed and their presence forbidden.
The celebrated director’s 28-year journey to bring Shusaku Endo’s 1966 acclaimed novel to life will be in theaters this Christmas. Joining Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver in the film are Tadanobu Asano, Ciarán Hinds and Liam Neeson. As we mentioned before, the film is based on the 1966 novel, the screenplay is a collaboration of Jay Cocks and Martin Scorsese. You can watch the official trailer below, or on the official YouTube channel of Paramount Pictures.
Depending on where you live, you might be able to watch the film just ahead of its national release. “Silence” will have a limited-theater run starting on December 23, 2016.
