Warner Bros. Pictures has been pretty quiet on the “Wonder Woman” front since the debut trailer launched back in July, but the studio is making up for lost time with an impressive new trailer released this morning.
The “first-look” trailer was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, and featured the first images of Wonder Woman saving lives and taking on mortals in full force. The new “official” trailer for the highly-anticipated film takes the action up a notch, showing Gal Gadot as the warrior we know as Wonder Woman in heroic form.
This new installment to the DC Cinematic Universe was directed by Patty Jenkins, working off a script written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns.
The film is based on the iconic characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston. The film is produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Fans of the iconic character can watch the trailer below.
This will be Gal Gadot’s first solo film as Wonder Woman, the character was first introduced in “Batman vs. Superman.” DC has quite a few films in the works leading up to the Justice League. There is “Wonder Woman,” “Aquaman,” a film following “The Flash” and of course the films that unite all of our heroes together, “Justice League”. A new Batman film is in the works as well, which will be directed, and most likely starring, Ben Affleck.
Joining Gadot in the international cast in “Wonder Woman” are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg.Fans can set a reminder to watch “Wonder Woman” when it hits theaters June 2, 2017.
