Lionsgate and Summit finally released an official trailer for “La La Land,” the upcoming musical drama starring the popular on-screen duo Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The film is set to release in a limited showing on December 9, 2016, it will then release wide on December 16, 2016.

Joining Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in film are John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott and Josh Pence. The musical-drama was written and directed by Damien Chazelle, with Fred Berger, Jordan Horowitz, Gary Gilbert and Marc Platt producing.

“La La Land” tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams. The film has been quite a hit as it toured the film-festival circuit this year. Lionsgate has released a few “first-look” teasers leading up to this official trailer, but now you can get a much better look at the film. Fans can catch the first official trailer below, thanks to an early morning upload from the studio.

If the limited-release won’t be coming to your city, you can make plans to catch the new drama when it releases on December 16, 2016.
