Nintendo Switch launch date, price and game library to be announced in January
Earlier today during a presentation to financial analysts, Nintendo’s president Tatsumi Kimishima announced that major details regarding the company’s new Nintendo Switch home gaming system will be shared at the “Nintendo Switch Presentation” in 2017. That does mean that you will have to wait a few months before learning anything new on the upcoming console, but it is a great way to kickoff the New Year.
This should be big news for anyone that found the announcement video interesting, since the press-event will confirm the launch date and pricing for the new console. The event for the Nintendo Switch will also look at the lineup of games currently in development, and ones that will be available on launch day.
Kimishima also announced that Nintendo Switch sampling events for invited media, partners, and consumers will take place in the U.S. and Europe after the presentation at later dates. So interested parties will have a chance to go hands-on with the new device. There will be opportunities for the public to participate in other hands-on events around the same time, but those details will be announced at a later date. The exact time of the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 will be announced through Nintendo’s social media channels in the coming weeks.
As for now fans can set a reminder for January 12th, that’s when Nintendo will be hosting the live-stream of the event.
