Rockstar Games promised to release the trailer for ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ this week, and its finally here. The trailer shows off a few of the valleys, prairies and farms that you will discover on your adventure, all in upgraded HD glory of course.
The game will be a follow-up to the 2010 open-world western that became an instant hit with fans on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The long-awaited sequel has been teased for the last three years at this point, and fans should be very excited to finally get a trailer from the studio.
Rockstar Games has become quite the consistent developer for popular open-world games, the studio’s ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ game won over critics and fans with an expansive multiplayer and single-player campaign setting.
The studio is sure to adapt the same successful stylings from GTA:5 into Red Dead Redemption 2, but the studio hasn’t released too many details on the game yet. Multiplayer is not only a great way to add extended playtime and longevity to game, it can also add a steady revenue for the studio – even long-after the release-date has come and gone.
Fans can get a look at the game in the trailer below. The studio described the game in the trailer’s description stating, “Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland.” Rockstar Games continued, “The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”
While the trailer is sure to hold over fans for a few weeks, the game’s release is still a long wait away. The studio confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release in “Fall 2017” but did not give an exact date at this time. The game has been confirmed for both the PS4 and the Xbox One, but unfortunately for PC players, a PC version of the game has not been confirmed by the studio. You can even pre-order the game on authorized retailers like Amazon.com, making sure you are one of the first to tame the wild-west once again.
