Red Dead Redemption 2 set to release in fall 2017
After a few days of teasing, Rockstar Games has officially announced a sequel to the hit ‘Red Dead Redemption’. Earlier today Rockstar, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, confirmed that the highly anticipated ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ will release worldwide in Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and the original Red Dead Redemption hit, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be another epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The studio teased in today’s announcements, “The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience,” but did not go into details at this time.
“With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.”
The studio also released a date for the trailer for the game, so you can set a reminder to catch that when it launches. As of right now a PC version has not been announced, so it looks like there will be another reason to pick-up that PS4 or Xbox One console this winter if you haven’t already.
Right now ‘Fall 2017’ is as close as the studio is coming to a release date, but over the next months we are sure to get a more concrete launch date. The studio will also be releasing a few more trailers and teasers as we approach the new year, so just hold your horses if you can.
Rockstar also confirmed that a Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer will be released on 11:00 a.m. Eastern, this Thursday, October 20th.
