CBS orders full season of MacGyver, Bull and Kevin Can Wait
Three new comedies are getting some additional backing from CBS this week, the network has given full season orders to three of its popular new series. The new series including the #1 and #2 new series, ‘Bull’ and ‘Kevin Can Wait’, and Friday’s #1 new series ‘MacGyver’.
The three shows, along with the Network’s returning hit programs, have helped CBS win the first three weeks of the season for the eighth consecutive year. In addition, all three have improved their time period, compared to a year ago.
“We’re thrilled viewers have embraced these three shows creatively,” said Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment. “Each one has made an immediate and positive impact on our schedule, while significantly contributing to growing their respective nights.”
The series ‘Bull’ stars Michael Weatherly, Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirschner, Annabelle Attanasio and Chris Jackson. Mark Goffman, Paul Attanasio, Dr. Phil McGraw, Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Jay McGraw are executive producers for CBS Television Studios. ‘Bull’ is currently the #1 new program of the season and is averaging 17.32 million viewers. When compared to the same time-slot one year ago, BULL is up +18% in viewers.
As for ‘Kevin Can Wait,’ that series stars Kevin James, Erinn Hayes, Taylor Spreitler, Mary-Charles Jones, James DiGiacomo, Ryan Cartwright, Lenny Venito, Gary Valentine and Leonard Earl Howze. Kevin James, Bruce Helford, Rock Reuben, Jeff Sussman, Andy Fickman and Tony Sheehan are executive producers for CBS Television Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television. The new series is the season’s #1 new comedy in viewers and key demographics and is averaging 11.26 million viewers.
The new hit ‘MacGyver’ is currently Friday’s #1 new program and is averaging 11.35 million viewers. MacGyver stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Sandrine Holt, Justin Hires and Tristan Mays. Peter Lenkov, Craig O’Neill, James Wan, Henry Winkler, Lee Zlotoff and Michael Clear are executive producers for CBS Television Studios in association with Lionsgate.
