Neil deGrasse Tyson to visit ‘Regular Show’ for Halloween

While taking a break from quantifying and hypothesizing, Neil deGrasse Tyson will be making a special appearance on ‘The Regular Show’ on Cartoon Network. The network confirmed this week that the special guest will appear on a Halloween-Themed episode of the series, set to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 27 on Cartoon Network. That’s not the only spooktakular shows with Halloween treats this year, new episodes of The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans Go!, Mighty Magiswords, The Amazing World of Gumball and Uncle Grandpa are all set to premiere Halloween episodes as well.

In ‘The Regular Show’ episode, Neil deGrasse Tyson will join Mordecai, Rigby and the rest of the gang in a special spooky-themed episode with a science-fiction twist called “Terror Tales of the Park”. This will mark the sixth and final half-hour Halloween special of Cartoon Network’s Emmy Award-winning Regular Show. The astrophysicist, cosmologist, author and science communicator will appear in a role only Neil deGrasse Tyson could play: himself.

The Emmy-nominated series The Powerpuff Girls will air a special episode on Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m, the episode will be called “The Squashening” and the girls will have to tell a scary story to escape a monster. Then on Teen Titans Go!, it will be “Halloween vs Christmas” on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. The story follows Santa as he tries to take over Halloween, and it will be up to the Titans and a few ghouls to stop him.

The Mighty Magiswords will air “Flirty Phantom” on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m called ‘Lost in Transylberia’. In the episode the Warriors come to a haunted house for help and meet a young ghost lady inside that wants to spend the rest of her afterlife with Prohyas.

The popular hit The Amazing World of Gumball will air “The Scam” on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The story takes place during Halloween show and tell, and the class isn’t buying Gumball’s story about Gargaroth the Devourer until Carrie fakes a terrifying haunting. The kids convince the school to hire them as ghost exterminators and take their payment in Halloween candy. But when it turns out Gargaroth is real, suddenly Gumball is expected to be the town’s savior.

Uncle Grandpa will premiere “Costume Crisis” on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7:45 p.m. In the episode Uncle Grandpa makes improvements to a kid’s Halloween costume with disastrous results.
