Charli XCX to debut new single on Freeform’s ’13 Nights of Halloween’
Popular performer Charli XCX will be doing more treating than tricking during Freeform’s ‘13 Nights of Halloween’ this year. Charli XCX is set to host the popular event, and interstitials featuring Charli XCX’s new single ‘After the Afterparty’ will air during the programming block.
A Grammy-nominated songwriter, Charli XCX will take on the role of host from October 19th through October 31st. During that time, Freeform viewers and Charli fans will get an exclusive sneak peek at her new single, which will be released wide to the public on October 28.
The 13 Nights of Halloween celebration is annual tradition on Freeform, featuring programming filled with thrills and chills as you count down to Halloween. This year will feature the network television premiere of “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls” and the Freeform premiere of “Spooky Buddies.” Plus, the perennial favorite “Hocus Pocus” will also air during the event.
Charli XCX’s new record label, Vroom Vroom Recordings, also released a four-track ”Vroom Vroom” EP recorded in Stockholm, showcasing her amazing talents. Charli performed two South by Southwest showcases alongside electronic/synth-pop producer SOPHIE whom she worked with on the new EP venture for her next release.
The songwriter, A&R business woman and artist has toured the globe over the past couple of years to mark the release of her critically acclaimed second studio album “SUCKER,” recently penned Selena Gomez’s U.S. No. 1 “Same Old Love,” and achieved the Billboard “Hitmaker of the Year” Award (2014) alongside four SESAC Pop Music Awards (2016). She also recently appeared at PC Music’s Pop City and currently appears on the cover of The FADER Fall Fashion Issue, discussing her long awaited forthcoming third LP .
