Disney pushes for cat adoptions with an ‘Alice and Wonderland Kit-Tea Party’

Cats are pretty adorable on their own, but throw in some Disney Magic and you’ll want to adopt another one in an instant. At least that is the plan, as Disney puts on a ‘Kit-Tea’ party to raise awareness for pet-adoption.

This marks the second video from the Oh My Disney’s “Disney In Real Life” series, which can be found on YouTube. In the video, shown below, the company offers another take on Tim Burton’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. The set is filled with adorable cats and kittens, and the twist of the project is that all of the cats that are featured are also up for adoption.

The cute cats take on the roles of Alice, The White Queen, The Mad Hatter, and other popular characters from the franchise. The episode was created through a partnership with Paws for Effect, which is an animal talent agency that books animals for popular films. The group also provides adoption services for the animals. Five cats from the agency were recruited for this video, where they recreate the infamous tea party scene from Alice.

The video was released to also commemorate the release of ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ on Blue-Ray and Digital HD worldwide, next Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016. The film is the long-awaited sequel in Disney’s live-action ‘Alice in Wonderland’ franchise. The second installment was directed by James Bobin, working off a screenplay written by Linda Woolverton. The story was based on the famous books written by Lewis Carroll. The film stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, and you can pre-order the blu-ray version on authorized retailers like Amazon.com
