Keanu Reeves talks John Wick 2, Power Rangers discuss reboot at NYCC

Lionsgate had two highly-anticipated blockbusters to preview at New York Comic-Con this year, and a few key members of the cast and crew of both projects met with fans to promote the new films. The studio premiered first look trailers for both ‘Power Rangers’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ this week, with the cast and crew hosting panels and meeting with fans to answer a few of their questions.

On-hand to discuss Saban’s Power Rangers were Dacre Montgomery, Becky G, Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott and director Dean Israelite. Joining the John Wick: Chapter 2 panel this was Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Common and the film’s director Chad Stahelski. Below you will find a quick interview with the cast and crew of the films, all of which were met with thunderous applause when they made their way to the main-stage to discuss their films.

As for the films themselves, John Wick Chapter 2 was directed by Chad Stahelski, working off a screenplay by Derek Kolstad. Stahelski also co-directed the original installment. John Wick 2 stars Keanu Reeves, Thomas Sadoski and Ruby Rose. In the film Reeves will once again be playing John Wick the former hitman forced back into the business he tried to leave behind.

The Power Rangers reboot was directed by Dean Israelite, and will also star Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks and Naomi Scott. The film follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers. Lionsgate teases the film stating, “Five ordinary teenagers must team together to become something extraordinary in order to save the world from being obliterated by an alien threat.” You can watch the interviews with Dacre Montgomery, Becky G, Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott and director Dean Israelite below, also included are the interviews with Keanu Reeves and Common.

John Wick Chapter 2 will release in theaters on February 10, 2017, The Power Rangers will release on March 24, 2017.
