NYCC summons up an ‘Underworld Blood Wars’ trailer
New York Comic-Con is a perfect time to unleash a new trailer onto the internet. This week Sony Pictures releases the first full-length trailer for ‘Underworld Blood Wars,’ which will be the next installment in the long-running ‘Underworld’ franchise. The new film follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Underworld Blood Wars was directed by Anna Foerster, working off a screenplay written by Cory Goodman. The original story was written by Kyle Ward and Cory Goodman, and the film is based on the original characters created by Kevin Grevioux, Len Wiseman and Danny McBride.
Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Len Wiseman, Richard Wright, David Kern and Ben Waisbren produced the project, with Eric Reid, James McQuaide, Skip Williamson and Henry Winterstern serving as Executive producers. Fans of the series can catch the full trailer below, thanks to a quick upload from Sony earlier today.
Joining Kate Beckinsale in this new installment are Theo James, Lara Pulver, Tobias Menzies, Bradley James, James Faulkner and Charles Dance. If you need to set a reminder, the film will release in theaters nationwide on January 6, 2016.
