After a few weeks of rumors and red-herrings, it was confirmed today that Lady Gaga will once again attend the Super Bowl as a musical guest. Lady Gaga is becoming quite the staple at major sporting events, she recently sang our National Anthem for the crowd at Super Bowl 50, that event was held at Levi’s Stadium back in February.

It was Lady Gaga herself that confirmed the news, using the moment to make a small nod to her latest single ‘Perfect Illusion’ during her announcement. The popular singer confirmed the rumors of her Super Bowl performance on Twitter, saying “it’s not an illusion. The rumors are true.”

While it was Lady Gaga that sang the National Anthem, the Halftime show was headlined by Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. The event is an amazingly popular performance, last year over 116.5 million viewers in the U.S. tuned in for the event, this according to the NFL.

Lady Gaga told her fans, “It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @FOXTV @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL”

A perfect time to promote her new work, fans will get to watch Lady Gaga take center-stage when the Super Bowl airs live from Houston on February 5, 2017.
