EA and DICE are showing off the single-player campaign for ‘Battlefield 1,’ the next installment in the popular franchise. The game is only a few weeks from releasing at this point, so set your reminders and get your pre-orders ready. You can watch the new Battlefield 1 single-player trailer below, thanks to an early upload from the studio.
According to the publisher, players will get the chance to experience a series of remarkable War Stories while playing multiple characters in the game. The campaign will take place in different locations across the globe as you fight in World War I. During the game players will get to know real-life historical figures as they immerse themselves in personal stories from different protagonists with unique backgrounds, skills and perspectives. Battlefield 1 will be available starting on Oct 21, 2016. The game will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There are a multitude of different editions to choose from, each containing their own DLC and some that offer unique physical items. You can play earlier than October 21st if you pre-order certain editions of the game, giving you a headstart on the competition.
If you pre-order the standard edition on sites like Amazon you can get the Hellfighter Pack, which offers themed items inspired by the heroic Harlem Hellfighter infantry regiment. This version includes 7 days early access to a map released later in 2016. Amazon states that codes will be emailed to customers after release of game.
There is the Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, which includes the Red Baron Pack and the Lawrence of Arabia Pack. Those contain themed weapons, vehicles and items, as well as five Battlepacks containing combinations of items. The packs also exchanges the visual appearance on three of the largest vehicles in the game. This Early Enlister edition is the most popular option at this point according to sales figures on Amazon, the edition also allows you to play Battlefield 1 three days earlier starting from October 18. There is also the Battlefield 1 Exclusive Collector’s Edition which offers a ton of DLC and a wide-array of physical goodies to display.
