Tim Burton and cast assemble for the ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ premiere
While most of the internet was watching the presidential debates, FOX held the red-carpet premiere of ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,’ which is hitting local cinemas in just a few days. The event was full of colorful snapchat filters, celebs being as ‘peculiar’ as they can be – all while still being red-carpet wonderful of course. The event was quite popular on social-media. The studio shared pics and short clips on Twitter during the event, featuring Tim Burton and his eclectic cast as they hit the red-carpet to promote the film. Among those in attendance at the premiere was Tim Burton, Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Rupert Everett, Ella Purnell, Finlay MacMillan and Lauren McCrostie.
Burton directed the film, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. The film has done wonders for the book, which has become a best-seller once again on sites like Amazon.com. In the film, young Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times. Soon Jake uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Throughout the film Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.
The film was produced by Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping, the screenplay was written by Jane Goldman. The film has quite a fantastic cast, including Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney and Rupert Everett. Joining them on-screen are Terence Stamp, with Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson. You can checkout a few standout moments from the event below.
