The new Dell XPS 13 will come in Rose Gold

Dell introduced a brand-new XPS and Inspiron laptop model this week, offering the new InfinityEdge screens and updated graphics. The devices come in multiple sizes, colors and configurations, offering several price-points that should be enticing to new buyers as we head back to school.

“At Dell, we’re constantly striving to provide the best viewing experience for all of our customers – no matter which line of products they choose,” says Ray Wah, senior vice president, Dell Consumer Product Marketing. “The latest additions to the XPS and Inspiron lines with industry leading InfinityEdge displays blend performance and portability and deliver the viewing experience Dell is renowned for.”

The new lineup of Dell laptops includes the XPS 13, Dell calls the new XPS 13 “the smallest 13-inch laptop on the planet with a virtually borderless InfinityEdge display,” and the company has bolstered its power and battery life, while offering a new Rose Gold color.

If you’re excited about the Rose Gold model, it comes in two configurations. One version has an Intel 7th Generation Core i5; 8GB memory; a 256GB SSD; with a 13.3-inch FHD display. The second version offers an Intel 7th Generation Core i7; 8GB memory; 256GB SSD; and a 13.3-inch QHD+ display with Touch. Both offer the new 7th Generation Intel Core processors, and the larger 60WHr battery can keep you working up to 22 hours on the FHD model, and up to 13 hours3 on the QHD+ model. Dell also incorporated new Killer 1535 Wireless-AC technology for a strong and reliable WiFi connection.

Dell really is pushing how small the new XPS is, pointing out that the device is 17 percent smaller than the comparable MacBook Air 13-inch. Starting at 2.7lb5 and measuring a super slim 9-15mm, the device is made of machined aluminum, carbon fiber and Corning Gorilla Glass.

There is also a Developer Edition available, that model comes preloaded with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Over on the Inspiron side of things, Dell will release the Inspiron 15 5000, and the Inspiron 17 5000. Both models offer a thinner design for portability and will be available in a array of fun colors including Sparkling White, Midnight Blue, Fog Night, Matte Gray, Black, Bali Blue, Tango Red and Cosmic Purple.
